| Bashira Webb is a freelance photographer and youth activist in New York. She was awarded the Jocelyne Benzakin Fellowship and studied at the International Center of Photography. She was also a reciepient of the Howard Chapnick Grant for the Advancement in Photojournalism, where she co-founded the NYC Bridge Project. The NYC Bridge Project’s vision is to serve young people in neighborhoods where photography is not celebrated and photographic education is limited, and create new perceptions of the communities in which the photographers live. Bashira's work has been published in: Rolling Stone, People Magazine, Latin Trends, Rolling Stone Brazil. Digitally Published works: MTV, MTV Tr3s.
